There Are Certain Nights

There Are Certain Nights

A Poem by Colton Bose

There are certain nights
That I go to bed
Not because I want to
But because I need the sleep

Nights like these make me curse
The humanity anatomy
For requiring such a futile thing

There are certain nights
That I go to bed
So that I can wake up
For a much anticipated tomorrow

Nights like these make me curse
The factors of time
For making me wait

There are certain nights
That I go to bed
Because I want to be done with today
A futile day of torment and despair

Nights like these make me cure
That fact that I am alive
And am feeling this way

Tonight is one of those nights

Hm, I like.

sometimes it seems as though there's so much to do some days that we don't want to sleep.
