Yearning.

Yearning.

A Poem by Kristallo

Close your eyes....
the high frequencies of thought- my somber interlude
collapsing; my lungs like the trees
Limber, naked arms shiver under the weight of ice
Russian voices crack under the onslaught of a piercing storm
In my head I am all alone.
You stand in the middle of a field of forget-me-nots
Ironic. I loved your December eyes.
Swathed like dusty butterflies, fine as the wing, tuned to my emotion
Like the sonnet of a mournful violin's string.
No greater beauty matched...
the svelte curve of torso, smiling apathy
Pain mirrored in the eyes of a crystal lake,
The eyes of fiction, torn parchment that inked our love
Gray tears that fell from a broken twilight sky.
That was the dream of you, my love, and I.
........ Whipped clouds shroud the disguise; the ruse
                                                                                                   A dream.
Rising and falling, the salty tide of our uncanny fate.
Softly, love blossom like glory in the morning
We'll forget we exist. In the morning,
                                                                       open your eyes.....
Dawn bathed her face in buttery delight.
Fantasy escapes from the wake of a lash.

the heaviness and lightness of your mind and heart
"love is a plague in a mismatched parade where the castaways look so deranged"
it flies as it floats it swims as it sinks...
it catches petals from the moon before opening its eyes
the sky winces against a backdrop of tears
as the weightlessness of thoughts imagine the density of the sun
I think if you keep finding words like these, you'll find your way Krystal

This is such a great, great poem, the classic metaphors are spoken beautifully,
a poem that catches off guard, and delivers an enchanting romantic image of desire soft in its wake. 100/100
