Are you kidding me?! I can't wrap my head around how brilliant you are and how much it excites me to take you in! Your every word expands my mind further still, what true art should do! You create such beauty with your words and really deliver something that expands the soul and graces the reader's existence. I think most people cannot place why that is exactly, because your brilliance exceeds their capabilities. This little segment was ridiculously genius, absolute glory incarnate:
"each unto itself a hypnotist of light.
The whispering pines are alive
in seraphic unison they dance
on ambrosial breeze
in organic grace
the incense brewed in verdant tea
And I humbled softly in wake
as lilies smile from the bottom of everything
blissfully unaware
of the constraints of time."

My oh my, this is simply delicious my dear friend. You have woven a tapestry of vibrant colored threads, dancing in wayward patterns before my longing eyes. The youthful mind is so aware, to designable and conceieves anything and everything as beauty. Your words are beauty...sheer magical beauty and I am under thier spell. Very cool Kris. Loved this.

Thank you, Jack... your words are so kind and uplifting. I am truly flattered. :)
This was A Beautiful and moving write, and so true to its sorrowful and longing ways ...captured perfect.
I do not mean offense...but do You hail from another country?
I have a very close friend, one whom I collab with much...She writes with the same style of thinking ...where and how words are placed...And many key words to Her countries land dot Her writes........I see so much of that here...very beautiful in scripting the subject---kudos!!!

I'm glad you actually caught the message of sorrow and 'misplacement' in this, despite the flowery prose, I touch on challenging quandries of the soul... I hadn't realized that I woven my language in a way reminiscent of a foreigner (to the U.S.)... thank you for the kind words, i'm so flattered.

So many conversations are littered with profanity and sound flat out insipid. When I read turn of the century or older novels or poetry it always amazes me that people in those days would speak with such a proper finesse conversationally. But I would consider language arts more largely ignored than lost, in many cases people who are educated and chill tend to speak more eloquently than those who couldn't give a s**t how they might come across in intellectual or refined conversation. It's kind of a baffling transition.

I see them as powerful tools that can flawlessly serve us in a variety of ways; the most essential being that with them, our deepest needs are met- understanding and empathy. Songs, poetry, literature, an affinity for intellectual communication and argumentative skills- these methods are used to teach us to identify with another and ourselves, and to understand the world around us. It's delightfully versatile, especially writing that is more avant-garde. And you're right, it's evolutionary even though the rudimentary elements remain the same, and with every new generation it evolves somehow.... it's kind of enlightening when you consider that we as humans were borne with such a complex capacity for expression. I'm glad I could share these deliberations with you, I'm feeling quite humbled now. :P

One night last week I worked on a poem for half the night, and was sure that it was the best i'd ever written, and within one stanza I described that very thing... the sad thing is, I didn't have it saved and hit the wrong key while typing- which lost my work. I still lament the could-have-been of my creative miscarriage!... and thank you, graciously, its so rewarding to know i've reached a reader. Still nowhere near the ability to give up my day job, but I can dream... :)

Another personal favorite of mine that i've been wearing out is: lugubrious. Doesn't that just breeze off the poetic tongue like a sour candy? I love it!... and i'm sorry about your poem- it returned to universal birthplace of inspiration, and those carefully selected words of ours may never fall into place again. I noticed once a write is gone, unsaved, there's no resurrecting it to its former glory. It's such a shame.

you have a way with beautiful writing, from the imagery to the words themselves. in the solipsism of youth it makes me think of one who has not yet experienced the jadedness (?) of life, but is in a state of innocence and inquisitiveness. and it's in that window of time that the universe speaks to him; he's more receptive to these frequencies. i don't find being alone a negative thing in this case because he's getting a learning experience that the rest of the people don't have. he gets his questions answered because of solipsism, there is no distraction. i know i'm probably so off, i apologize.
most of the images here are some of the elements i want my afterlife to be like.

Complex and beautiful, but sometimes guided by the raw, senselessness of emotion. Mine is, at times, a surreal garden- open and light. But there are other times that it is so dark and daunting that I wish I could escape it, or trade it for something else; those are the times of depression, when the mind feels caged. If I could turn my mind into a book, I would let you read it, but you may not enjoy the journey. :P
I am so flattered by your kind reviews, that I have moved you is a wonderous gift and I am astonished and humbled by it. Thank you so much.
