In The Firing Line - Portraits Of Landscapes.

A Story by ShortBreadInc

The newest track from Welsh metallers In The Firing Line, Portraits and Landscapes is, to put it blatantly, a stroke of genius. Starting off steady, it tricks you into which direction its going to take, the safe-way path of a usual thrash tune, filled with melodies and  heavy guitars creatively intertwined, or the daring backroads of the unpredictable, but beautifully structured rollercoaster ride of hardcore heaven. But come on, what’s life without the challenge of facing fear?
Of course they take the frenetic route of the rollercoaster, bursting into flames of passionate metal after the first eighteen seconds and not stopping until the end. Filling in the space with mind-blowing and epic guitar sweeping, the steady backbone of fuel-driven drums, pounding bass tones and of course the vast-varied vocals, they take you to new levels of emotion then slam you back down to reality with a battering force. It continues to both fascinate and bewilder you, but never in this brilliance does it bore you, or  fail to satisfy your desire for real, good old proper metal.
