Chocolate Rain, Coca Cola and The Story Of a Lonely Girl (Boo-f*****g-hoo)

Chocolate Rain, Coca Cola and The Story Of a Lonely Girl (Boo-f*****g-hoo)

A Poem by ShortBreadInc
"

I wrote this about two years ago, when something happened that crushed me. Its extremely dramatic and emo, and I stole half of it from lyrics. But who gives a s**t, Im sharing it.

"

Have you ever almost cried
Opened your eyes just that fraction
And seen the tears linger there
Torn between captivity and freedom
It almost takes your sadness away
It almost makes crying fun
It almost helps your forget what tore you
What beckoned that lump to your throat
What caused the erruption in your chest
What sent shivers down your spine
What chased the blood through your veins
Faster
Faster
And stop.
Thats a rap...

Its like a movie.
The stars
The who-you-wana-be's
Your not that girl
She who's winsome, she wins him
Gold hair with a gentle curl
Thats the girl he chose
And heaven knows
Your not that girl
This could be a movie, this could be our final act
Its not like we need these happy endings

Naaahhhh
I shan't bother
Elphaba doesnt need me
She has others to do her work
It wont matter if I give up
Dreams were meant to be shattered
Hearts were meant to be broken
Old mother nature will be displeased if things dont go her way
She disapproves of her rules being broken
Thats where the recklessness stops.

Just try competing with perfection constantly
Nobody's perfect?
It makes battling with the ones who exceed that statement much more problematic
It'll bring you down no end.

I can see the molecules swim through the air
It creates the sense of realisation
Though that quickly fades with the distress of torment.
Will I lose my dignity
Will someone care
Will I wake tomorrow from this nightmare
This is the real world
Nobody cares about your problems
They take what they want from you and leave you with nothing
They deprive you of your sentiment
You're left lingering with bare memories
Exposed for all to devour your remains
The real world
You'd better get your head out of the clouds
If you wana make it to the top
How ironic
But thats our world
Filled with selfish contradictions and conveniant ironies.

Butterflies now.
Flutterflutterflutter around my stomach
Crawling through my intestine
At liberty in my liver
How unorthodox of their timing
How disrespectful of their manner
Surging through my body as they do
And without a sound
Like a ghost, only without the anxiety
A mouse without the whiskers.
Etcccc......

Do you think you can just simply be unhappy?
There are people on this earth persistently content
Yet those trapped in melancholy are ridiculed by society
You'renegativesourpessimisticgrumpygutsandbatwingstew
Why are those imprisoned in sorrow scorned for their flaws
Unable to exchange their burden for a quality, a superiority.
Im happy-sad
Im broken dooo-ooown
But Im okay, when you come around

TraitorbackstabberdefectinggoodfornothingallroundFAILURE
Its imminent
Overwhelming you in every aspect
Your temple burns in jealousy, rage, betrayal
The solitary factor that kills you the most
Your courtesan has chosen the maharajah
The penniless sitar player is left with nothing
Just the heavy woe repressed on his soul
And his kingdom shall have no end..
