Forget it...

How someone feels when you forget something as silly as this...

So you know that feeling when everyone forgets something important to you? Do you?

You try and casually slip it in to a conversation, but… no one notices…
I mean… It’s not super important… I just… want everyone to know… to remember.
You know?

I mean, you don’t have to get me anything… I just want you to remember.
But a memory is so fickle and bitter sometimes so… I guess its ok.

I just feel like no one cares. Like no one thinks it’s the slightest bit important…

I wish someone would make a big deal out of it…
So I can play that selfless, modest part and say;
“No no no, don’t fuss. It doesn’t matter.”

But then everyone does…

 

I can go on about how UNimportant it is and act like I don’t care…

Bottom line is, I do.

And I want you to care too…

This entire entry is a cry out for attention…

I can kinda feel my heart sink a little when I think about the whole situation…

And then I wallow in self pity and then hate myself for it because its not important…

 

But I mean… It’s only my birthday… I’ll just spend it alone.

Ok, so its MY actual birthday soon and most people have forgotten and I thought I would write about how it makes me feel A LITTLE. I'm not actually that bothered about it, I just wanted something to write :P
Yea so most people forget it most of the time, especially at the moment because my family is moving house and its just after christmas so I don't expect anything from anyone.
I know a lot of people may get this feeling over silly things too.

Also, I had no idea what genre this was so I just put Prose Poem. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It is definitely a good thing to express how you feel and what better place to do it than your writing. It is good therapy and guess what? We listen. So chin up. Mark your birthday on the calender. Talk to those you want to celebrate it with and make plans. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. Some people become self absorbed, not on purpose but, because there are other things on their mind that you may not know. So, put yourself in the picture. Calebrate your life and how long you've lived it, no matter what!
