You Forget MeA Poem by LauraForget me not while I am here, While I live, and see, and breathe... For you shall forget me when I'm Gone, A whispered name, a passing thought And then you may move on To better, bigger wastes of time As you busy and cloud your mind With the trivial distractions of life While I lay silent in my tomb Wrapped up tightly in my dreams And my hopes, my aspirations are All who are left to hold my hand... My dead wishes sleeping next to me In an eternal stream of reverie Remembering all I could be... As they play life's futile movie before my eyes forever more. Here you may O' you may forget away... But forget me not today. © 2008 LauraReviews
