A Poem by Shivam Murari
"

This poem attempts to taunt the people who impose forced discipline and on those who believe in hollow fame and fake brotherhood!

Sun revolves around the Earth,

Isn’t that a curious phenomenon?

There are rules and laws since I’ve taken birth

You have to follow, you can’t run.

Within my mother’s womb, as a foetus

I floated from one wall to another.

Now the entwining rules eat us

The prodigious list only grows longer.

For the brotherhood is neither meringue

Nor the notes of a mezzo

Where has the love gone, I rue,

Locate it, I’ll find the boat to row.

There can be no discipline, no love,

Until the conscience strikes

It would neither come from twitter followers,

Nor from facebook likes!

Author's Note

Shivam Murari
This poem co-relates the forced discipline, which loosens as soon as the forcing agent goes absent, and the absence of true love, which is also in forced form! I think both the love and discipline are co-related in this manner that they have to imbibe in us and not just adsorb!

This is pretty good. It speaks of the fake world people live in when they spend all their time trying to get likes and followers on all them social networks, then think they've actually done something good and congratulate themselves when all they've really done is nothing for the real world, the one that matters.
Well done. ^^

A powerful message you send here. People are often caught up in the idea that "likes" are going to validate their world views and save the polar bears. You debunk this well, and you do it in a very well put-together fashion

No love or discipline without conscience... so true. And there is really no feeling in a facebook "like"; unfortunately we have allowed this little "thumbs up" to define our popularity, and done away with real worth in our friendships... Well done!

so true........the question "what's on your mind?" for uploading status itself seems to be so confused. No love is expressed in these realistically.

I concur. love and discipline are intertwined because both serve others and not just ourselves. Great write.

Facebook is good for the family. Easy to get in contact with complete family with a simple note. Facebook is not set-up for logical conversation. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
