Story about a werewolf finding its mate

It is a chilly night in the forest. A man is walking along a dust strewn path. He is alone at that time of the night. He shifts into his wolf form to escape the chill.

As the wolf walks along the path, a sudden scent assaults its nose, startling the wolf with its intensity.It smells of pine and rain and is coming from the deeper part of the forest. Unable to restrain its curiosity and its tangible pull towards the scent, the wolf abandons its goal and starts towards the source of the scent. Mm, it grows deliciously stronger as the wolf trails the scent.

Time passes by as the wolf ventures into the forest and reaches a campsite where a group of five people are gathered around a fire. Tents have been set up and food is slowly cooking in the fire. The wolf observes all this while hiding behind the bushes and trees, from a distance.

The wolf also observes that the scent is strongest at the campsite where the people are gathered. It devises a way to approach them and starts shifting into human form.

The people at the campsite, as soon as they see a lone man approaching them , they become guarded and see what the man is up to. The wolfman, on reaching the group, notices the group members. There are 3 women and 2 men dressed in camping outfits and gear.

He explains to them that he is lost and would like to stay with them till they reach the end of the forest where they could part ways. The group agrees.

He finally identifies the person from whom the scent was coming from. She is a human of short stature with dark determined eyes and a firm set of the mouth.

The man can’t help but feel elated to finally find his mate and tries to be closer and talks to her.
The man says “ Hi, I am Josh, What is your name?” “ Oh hello, I am Lale. It’s nice to meet you” “What brings you here to this part of the forest?”asks the man. “ This was a friends camping trip organised by the boys there. We girls just joined them.”

He asks her about her interests, her hobbies, her work, her social life and relationships. She is currently single at the moment and just recently broke up with her ex boyfriend. The wolf is relieved to hear this as it feels dominant and possessive towards its mate. He talks to her about everything and nothing at the same time enjoying hearing every word that comes out of her mouth.

They decide to rest for the night. There are 3 tents for five persons. Josh requests to share a tent with Lale and
she and the group comes to a decision on the arrangement for sleeping.

Later that night everyone retires to their own tents after saying goodnight. Josh lay down next lo Lale, joyous and cautious at the same time so as to not scare her away. Being near her awakens his possessive side which he tries to hide so as to not scare her. There is this constant pull of the mate bond and he being a werewolf feels it much much more than her. As they were talking he suddenly kisses her.

In her shock she stays still and taking it as rejection the man started pulling away. But her hand came up and cradled his head as she started kissing him back. Josh couldn’t get enough of her warm soft lips and deepens the kiss further, his tongue asking permission for entry into her, which she gives. He starts exploring her with his tongue and her hands tighten around his head pulling his hair, the pain a welcome entity. What starts as a simple kiss soon turns passionate. She moves onto his lap in the heat of kissing and was moaning into his mouth. His need to claim her grows stronger with each passing second and his grip on her waist tightens with a low growl. God was she beautiful. She was warm and soft all over and his hands itched to explore her but he restrained himself. His mouth made its way to her jawline, neck and her sweet spot between the neck and shoulder where he longed to mark her with his fangs. His wolf threatened to break out and they break the kiss.
She slowly moves out of his lap and moves to her side of the bed, shy of making eye contact. He lay down too and seemed to be replaying the events in his mind in satisfaction, yet greedy for more. Sleep would be a lot more harder today.

Dawn breaks out and the group gets ready to move out. Four days later, as Josh gets closer to the group, especially with Lale, as he is conversing he takes her to a secluded area and kisses her and asks her to not be afraid. Then he shifts into his wolf form in front of her. She couldn’t believe her eyes and becomes terrified. She sees the big black wolf that was standing in place of Josh and standsfrozen to the spot. The wolf approaches her slowly, its large eyes pleading and placed its head on her palm. Her trembling hands starts to stroke its soft fur, having a calming effect on her.

He turns back into his wolf form, and explains everything to her , about her being his mate and all. Though she is apprehensive at first, she starts believing him for the proof before her eyes and accepts him . Ecstatic, he hugs her and they both join hands together and leave the area, going back to their group.
