Poem of a Little Girl

Poem of a Little Girl

A Poem by kyle aka-Osiris

Adrie

Playing on the ocean

Letting the water splash me

I can’t believe my father did this

This is the best present ever

I am playing by myself

Mom’s back at the hotel

She said I’m old enough to go alone

I can’t believe I got that freedom

Sitting here playing with the starfish

But I am getting pretty bored

I wish my friends were here

My 8th birthday would be better

But then something interests me

The water goes farther back

I laugh and get up to chase it

I am bored no more

As it goes back and back, so do I

Not noticing the fish that are left out the water

I cant believe this is happening

This is going to be so much fun

But this I hear people calling out to me,

They want me to come back

I ignore them, and keep going

One person comes out to me

I try to run away from him

But then I look forward

I notice the water had stopped moving back

And now it’s moving forward

The man chasing me picks me up

And tries to wrong back

But notices it is going to be too late

The long blonde haired man looks down at be

I look into his baby blue eyes

I look over his shoulder, and see the water wall

It is moving toward us fast

Then he holds me tight, I grasp to his shirt

I start to cry and realize, I and not old enough

To make decisions, that are good

The water is coming, coming, coming
