Dear Diary,

 

            December 24, 2004

 

Today was another unsuccessful day for fisherman everywhere…we were not able to catch anything. The only thing keeping me here is the love for this boat, looks like I finally found a name for it, S.S.  K.P.P., my initials, I need to come up with another name, one of my crew says we should go southeast to the Indian Ocean, he says the fishing there is great this time of year.

I’m starting to think we should, we need to get food on our family’s table. I just wish I could spend some time with my family this time of year, it brings me to tears knowing that I can’t spend Christmas with our newborn. Well I decided to go to the Indian Ocean, this way we have a better chance of getting fish, and a better chance of making my absence up to my family.
