JUDICIAL HOMICIDE

called apartheid labeled racism

separatism defines its borders,

in this place of bars and tasers

iron and steal

I’m hated

dubious taunts in darkened rooms

imposed confessions and rancid promises

for the young but not so brave

the intelligent but not so literate

a metaphor

guilty as charged

beaten and whipped a scapegoat

a patsy, a pigeon holed fall guy

a stripe clad mark presented to the people

on display

for an unknown crime

confess

what you know not

a blood curling homicide

breathe the atrocities of poverty and ignorance

die execution style

death by lethal injection

debacles my lungs and diaphragm

paralyzes my muscles as potassium chloride

 ends the flow of blood

to my heart

I make the list of thousands

not exonerated in time to explain

eulogizing governments and corrupt forces

a satanic justice

 in drag

an unforgiving culture

to attest to coercion and lies

in vain I die a forbearing death

snuffed out

void dignity

void pride

Having been a victim of a corrupt judicial system, I am incensed by what you write and it kindles in me a fire that never really goes out. while I am upset by the trends I see in this American Arena of Injustice, It is the common people who see, but don't look, who know, but don't act that really piss me off.
Any change must begin with a war against apathy. Well said, Shirley. Thanx!
