OBSESSED

A stairway calls and I ascend knees fumbling

A heart beats faster than a pulse records

I climb and climb again in search of answers

Oh holy mother hear my desperate call.

Upon the roof I kneel - the rain oppressing

Two tear soaked cheeks sustaining sleepless eyes

With praying hands I cry and beg for mercy

Toward darkened skies of shapes and sounds I bow

Against a narrow window dressed for mourning

Two candles circle round an antique frame

Upon an old steam trunk I dress my alter

In all the colors love has chased away.

Awash with spells and brews now in the making

Comes easily to one so ghastly crazed

I chant my string of flaming declarations

Oh holy mother hear and call his name.

"Ye prince of darkness yield him to my calling

Be south of north and east of western rains

Enrage his dreams convulse his tepid manhood

Stream bursts of semen, swell, embed, sustain

I cede my soul feral in this obsession

Neurotic rifts affront loves crippling pain

Pray fornicate in him my sexual pleasures

Adulteress will be my given name"

One glance and three days soon became the seventh

Two weeks reach out toward three my spell sustains

I open up and tell you that I love you

You swear you'll never speak to me again.

An alter slowly fades into the darkness

A love succumbs obsession's deathly hold

I stab you forty times  - my love affirming

Now you lie dead and I possess your soul.
