MULESA Poem by ShirleyPOEM
MULES
I watched as he packed and cut small oval shapes
wrapped in plastic
doused in liquid
soft green fluid a small white bowl
pink flowers
lots of tiny pink flowers "open your throat, wider, wider, chewing will kill you, swallow hard!"
the money is good just remember
the money is so damn good
tarnished plastic light white power
down my throat
past the esophagus
wave-like muscles
pushing it on
small intestines
pancreatic enzymes –
don't break it down! don't break it down!
large intestines base of the gut
housed in a
human drone
a crusty slab hands pressing hard
moving,
shifting,
adjusting
always
"room for more, there's room for more, open your throat, wider, wider!"
don't dare gag! the money is good
the money is so damn good!
inside the bowel stored in the rectum
plastic and powder
waiting to pass
instructions passport
airport
security
hotel
money
I'll never tell
New York is beautiful "time to s**t b***h!"
laxatives sedatives
making me rich
small little oval shapes wrapped in plastic
doused in liquid
the money is good
sterile hybrids don't gag
don't miss
human mules. ©2007Shirley
