indulgent gravitational pull

indulgent gravitational pull

A Poem by Shirlena
"

true story

"

did this thing with thickness

robust black brows daring sepia eyes

expressions wore his shadow

I toil over kindling curls smoking to a minimum

but I think he discerned with keen sensibility

coaxed oxygen back through my body’s portal

aspired that he not detect mortality

scrambling for buttons…stop

hid my women smiling weep with curiosity seething denial

conflicting energy hoped he continued searching without

formal nudge of obviousness

eternal struggle to squash anxious pulse volupte’ breath

but he followed me to unoccupied offices breaking locations

trapped triangular with his nose…structured wall

I fought

I wrestled

tried thwarting head athleticism

even with a parachute

gravity of his arms...too strong
