everything must dissipate…convincing self

everything must dissipate…convincing self

A Poem by Shirlena
"

when he's gone

"

won’t be sitting orange electric

watching  The Last Dragon” no more

one of your favorites thangs especially Vanity singing

while alarms of sensibility clangs getting on my nerves

needling vision to restore... indulging my brood

don’t want to sow seeds that lead down ravines of self pity

waiting for that serving to grow cold

right now things still percolatin’ weighing metal on mind

as for the heart… it laments overtime…I need to scribble in it’s occupancy

return S upon the vest…shouldna never released the girl

who bestowed  this honor in the first place

won’t be listening to beloved jazz... alternative r&b

classical  we shall become reacquainted

resist the welcome to sorrow in your absence

pleading my presence… will learn to hate you as I love you so much

everything must dissipate (love you so much)

incidentally… not everything

Always have you read you twice to get the full essence...S on the chest is/was your Superman I suppose, relationships have blurry lines, love/hate is a twisted distinction. Sometimes we need to move along even before it's served straight up on ice....outstanding read, as always Shirlena.

"I say, who's the master? You say... Shonuff!" Classic! Sorry, couldn't resist. I know these emotions well. You conveyed them well with vulnerability and a reluctant strength. Excellent write!

LOL me too...one of the best..."Who's the MASTAH! "I Y'AM (wild laugh)", "He's got that GLOW".
This took me back...way back..lol. Years ago when my three year relationship with my high school sweetheart ended. I remember letting go of all the things i connected to him. Music...foods...activities. Like I needed to find a whole new me...but also to convince myself that letting go was essential. But in reality I never completely got over him. Sigh...

Love the flow and style of this.... ;-)

Youre welcome hun... ;-D
This one gave me shivers. So beautifully expressed, the struggle to move on, the feeling of mourning, longing, love ... great emotions expressed here.
