thinkin' she a drug II...the only one

thinkin' she a drug II...the only one

A Poem by Shirlena
"

part two of a piece written in an ethnic language or ebonics

"

back and rugged

forward as some dude
breast sitting high...still smug

amused

at the arrogance of herself
think she greener grass pastures fuller
ain't no man able to resist pullin' her
she appeases her mind...
whispering
get himself weak trying to defeat the urge
to pick whatever it is dropped
getting frayed up and unnerved
let the perfume wave him in
tuggin on the ring his nose been pinned

she winning 'bout the smile
wind around cheeks like a silk scarf
he gone whistle and blow
cheeks puff cause for a minute he Miles Davis

she got thick braids cakes and legs
if he going out...he going out dead
from blatant fatigue
let the background say "Amen"
it's going to the bridge in

her self involved clutches
he gone follow where she tread
she don't waver shame or regret

being...

still she smug...thinkin she a drug

baked wit a bronzed cookie

don't nobody else own
