a "get down" sky

a "get down" sky

A Poem by Shirlena
"

hello Mr. Cheerio

"

the sky is gettin’ down this morning

air fresh hibiscus warming

biscuits mingling with blackberries…negotiating

discussing schemes of their life after

where they’ll be displayed…later

taking big whiffs ‘mongst the persuasion…

a partially woven seat while breathing deeply

lining negative energy on death a row

and horses aren’t racing

leaving hoof prints around temples

clearing time for a 30 minute jaunt

there’ll be nothing haunting the agenda so early

while the view feels clean

clouds fat and pearly

with the sky… getting’ down this morning

I suspect this evening… a natural high sun set

Now this made me smile as soon as I began reading. This was fun and energetic, set my mind on a poetic high, that's for sure. I am going to agree with Frieda below, those lines were killer and I wish I had written them as well. Very cool my friend.

Love this read Shirlena...feel as though i just did a slow poetic dance through your enticing imagery.

air fresh hibiscus warming
biscuits mingling with blackberries…negotiating

Wish I would have thought of that, brilliant!

I like the idea of poetry as a deep, slow experience. Carefully considered and perhaps edited by the intense and dedicated author. Understood and valued as a gift by the reader- and offering further resourses to the re-reader.
