Picasso on my finger

Picasso on my finger

A Poem by Shirlena
"

I have Picasso ring that I love and Picasso is one of my favorite painters

"

I shall feign no more

Picasso on my finger
and there were no easels
Picasso on my finger
but not on the walls

Picasso hops the city

wherever fit to roam
wish to have in my clothes
on a plane Paris bound

... where I couldn't pretend to afford

content understated pewter
decorative protective shield
grimacing and dignified

other fingers may learn what jilted is...

this day

when sported I feel aristocratic
... artsy, enigmatic
advancement has been born

Picasso’s on my finger
with compliments to unknown definitive

Sometimes the cadence of simplicity and repetition is equally gratifying. I find this poem highly original and highly readable as well. Another one you could enter.

Such a humble read, I love Picasso as well, but I think I love your poetry more, or just as muchly anyway. ;-) That's you for sure, artsy and enigmatic...you painted a picture of yourself as well. Always a pleasure to read you Shirlena.

You're quite welcome, so much poetry, not enough time I know. Good to know. ;-)
I really wish that I had found your poems before now, they are so inspiring and beautiful reads. This poem reminds me of something I said to my partner not so long ago when he asked me what it is about poetry that I love so much. I said that a good poem is like a great painting. Some are like Picaso where you really have to concentrate to see the message (or picture) inside. Others are very clear, but all comes from the heart, we are artists and our words form our pictures. I am really glad that your Picasso ring inspired you to write this poem. It's a real piece of art.
