Michael Jackson - A Tribute

Wrote this in 2009 for a grieving world, as a tribute to one of the most ingenious artists to have ever lived. With the greatest love and respect, SJ Roebling

Never will there be, nor can one compare,

To the man, MJ. A man, indeed so rare.

 

In 1964, with four other brothers,

He made his first debut. Stood out like no other.

 

Soon, before too long, he struck out on his own,

Stole our hearts worldwide, before his first milestone.

 

Born to sing and dance, down to his very core

An epic prodigy, that left us wanting more.

 

His work was so unique. His albums, quite diverse,

His music and his dance, impeccably rehearsed.

 

No matter what he made, platinum it would go

We couldn’t get enough, of MJ or his shows.

 

Wrote straight from his heart. With each and every song

Of things he cared about. His messages were strong.

 

Still many tried to match, his distinctive moves,

Amazingly came close, to copying his groove.

 

Losing him was hard. It broke our hearts in two,

A world without MJ, we just could not construe.

 

And never will there come, genius of this degree.

MJ’s work will live on, for all eternity.
