Travis Fimmel - The Barefoot Farm BoyA Poem by SJ RoeblingI became friends with Travis back in 2007, prior to his movie career moving into full swing. He was without a doubt, one of the most kind, considerate, and respectful men ever! A complete natural.
Travis Fimmel " The Barefoot Farm Boy
Just a simple, farm boy from the Aussie outback, With a dream to play football"professional, at that. But a dreaded broken leg,
took away all of his hope, And as such, he left school,
rather than to stay and mope. Said goodbye to friends and
folk, and his family’s cattle farm, All the cows that he had
milked, all the girls that he had charmed. He then traveled throughout
Europe, worked in London as a host, Accompanied lots of
tourists, of the wealthy and utmost. When he tired of this task,
he then flew out to L.A., Spent his first night at a
club, partying hard, or so they say. With a few bucks to his name
and no shoes upon his feet, He then entered an agency"nonetheless
right off the street. Twas, alas, no great surprise,
that the handsome Aussie lad, Was hired on the spot, and
set up in his own pad. But then what happened next,
caused him a bit of grief, When he found himself near
naked, in a pair of Calvin briefs. Add to that, billboards of
him, in his jocks on every corner, It was then he knew he
wanted to become a screen performer. Did his first acting job for
prestigious Warner Brother, Then went on to tackle
more…, one after another. Till this day he still
remains a loving son and celebrity, With a yearning for some
land, a wife, and family. So he can build himself a
farm and the life he since dreamed of, With his surfing, hunting,
fishing"a motorbike and favorite pub. SJ Roebling © 2008
