Luca

Luca

A Poem by SJ Roebling
"

Henry Mancini's grandson, Luca, is a beautiful and talented soul. There is nothing he cannot do. Smart as a whip!

"
Luca

Peanut butter, whipped cream
On toasted white bread
Tells me salt is the enemy
Prefers hot sauce instead.

A virtuoso of talent
From his head to his toes
His demeanor, oh so gallant
Many friends, but ne’er a foe

A gentleman, a scholar
Comedian at heart
A singer and a writer
Creator of fine art.

Gentle, and kind
Yet stubborn to the core
His presence, so fine
Leaves you always wanting more.

Remarkably aware
Not a hypocrite
Shows conscientious care
And true beguiling wit.

A thinker- that he is
In more ways than one
He makes the world his
He holds the moon and sun.

Of his name he’s very proud
For his legacy he keeps
Disrespect is not allowed
And his feelings run deep.

Still, he always looks ahead
To all this life may bring
With a sweet discerning stead
He dare not miss a thing.
