Damned to DustA Poem by SJ RoeblingAnother view of the corporate ladder of so called success...Utter pandemonium We thrive on sheer chaos To have all that we so desire No matter what the cost. With viper eyes we look ahead So numb to what lay waste Pleas, but uttered grievances And all can be replaced. Mistakes are mostly challenged But venues questioned not. We hold a judges gavel, Where reverence can be bought. The more mayhem the better, To shift the seeking soul, Distraction, desperation, We watch the players fold. And high we stand upon our thrones Of corporate entities, With workers but a team of ants, All programmed to appease. Yet in the end we’re all the same. Bodies damned to dust, For which our souls must answer, To all we’ve done unjust. Copyright/SJ Petrandis/2008 © 2020 SJ RoeblingFeatured Review
