"Why Do I Have to Make My Bed"

"Why Do I Have to Make My Bed"

A Poem by SJ Roebling

"Why Do I Have to Make My Bed"

Why do I have to make my bed?
Is it because that someone said?
Who is this soul, I'd love to know,
For to their house I’d like to go.
To see just how they make their bed,
Or if by someone in their stead.
I wonder if their sheets are tight,
Without a wrinkle, crease or slight.
It makes no sense if you ask me,
All other beasts let their beds be!
For when it's time to take your rest,
An unmade bed is always best!
To climb back in from where you woke,
Without the need to push or poke!
So

Why do I have to make my bed?
Now on I simply won't instead!

Procrastinators delight! I never make mine either! Why? I don't live in a museum, why do it? I like this, it's funny. Take care!
