Before The Coffee

Before The Coffee

A Chapter by John Galloway
"

Prologue.

"

In all the vast space that exists, there is positioned a small little blue ball, with some green splats on it. Occasionally, there is a white substance covering some of its mass, but not always.

On it is microscopically placed beings, exhausting their lives.

There are smart ones, dumb ones; big ones, small ones, and so on. The point is: it’s diverse.

In all of that diversity lays a supreme race of being: human; their intelligence matched by none known to them.

Though they were so infinitesimal in a seemingly inestimable space, and though their reach on outside of their own little ball was limited but very extent, they had not found others like them.

It would make sense, for other beings like them to exist as well, at least somewhere relatively close to them. Beings did exist, though none clever enough to know anything besides that they were existing.

At any rate, they had tried reaching others. Tried and failed.

So, for the moment, they were all alone.

Lonely little atomic beings on a little blue ball in all the vast space that exists.
