"Seconds to Read"

"Seconds to Read"

A Poem by Shineheemi
"

Just... if you are somehow down today.

"
oh! How are you?

What's the matter?
You're breathing.

Wondering why you're still here?
Wondering why you're here?
but you already know what you are doing,
You have plans? but no objective?
or you have objective but no plan?

What's the matter?
Your heart's still beating,

Feels like running?
Out of breath?
Nothing to see?
It's good, you know that you're aware.
Oh! what's the matter?
Lots of question?
Don't worry, not all answer really matters.

I know you're not that well,
I see you're pretending,
I know it's heavier than i thought.

He knows up there,
you still have a lot of things you want to try, what to do, accept and change,
He knows up there,
Your faith is shaking...
but every little bit helps, My Friend.

He can see you, and
You're doing great.

It is good to know, really...
that you're still breathing.

I enjoyed the simple appreciation of breath in lungs and a pumping heart!

I appreciated the dialogue you invited the reader into and sought to comfort sufferings they could be experiencing.

Loved how you wrapped it up by proclaiming we have a Heavenly Father who knows us and loves us.

Really enjoyed the comforting nature of this one Shineheemi!

I am totally impressed with your inspirational message! I am often a critic of such msgs becuz they can sound preachy -- telling people to do this or that. But here, it feels like a cross between joking around & being serious, in a lighthearted way. It's an easy message to heed, becuz you're showing us where we can find the light, rather than telling us to think or act differently (like so many inspirational msgs do!) If depressed people could choose to change their way of thinking & feeling, they would do it. It's more complicated than that. In your poem, you're not trying to fix anybody, just showing how to have a different perspective in the way you see things - where to find the light in each situation (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
