God's Great Plan

God's Great Plan

A Poem by CStansfield
"

This was originally made for my bible class, and it's mostly my work because I took this and put it here BEFORE my partners took it and altered it.

"

God’s grand design, shown throughout history

To create with his own divine creation, a great mystery

In his own epitome as perfect as could be

Humans divide in their deviation

From creation to the fall, then to our cherished Christ Jesus of all

With humans, he shall restore

His kingdom that we don’t deserve

And we shall live forevermore

And we people live, in his kingdom to subserve

Stories that are understood, but others many misunderstand

But altogether bit by bit,

it all ended with God and what ultimately planned

Each of the four parts has four further elements to it,

Making sense of the topic by going through it

The first part, creation

Is where God created the very first nation

Perfect in the image, as are we

The creation showed His love, as perfectly pure as He

The first element, possession, shows his love

By us belonging to Him up above

Value, the second element, holds true

When we find the perfect balance of virtue

God values us at a certain level

Inherent value from whom we do revel

The third, dignity, is deeply found inside ourselves,

Because of God’s love which always compels

The fourth, and final, wholeness, no doubt

Shows a completeness within and without

God’s whole creation is working together

To create a peace that holds under good weather

However, a storm will still come

To destroy the whole sum

Of humanity in an incident called the fall

Where we are separated from our Lord of all.

The first element, disconnection, keeps us apart,

And makes the Lord feel distant from the start

The second, futility, makes work useless

However, we are still completely excuseless

We toil hard days under the sun

To reap a harvest that is close to none

The third, corruption, shows our unrighteousness

Because of our sin done in our mindlessness

We abuse God’s good gifts and use them for bad

And that all made the Lord very sad

The final element, brokenness, is the worst

Because of the world which is now cursed

Everyone is broken, not one is whole

And the entire world has taken a toll

However, not all hope is lost,

For one has come to pay the cost

The third part, redemption, shows God’s sacrifice

By sending his son to settle the price

He suffered, and died, up on that tree

To help us live eternally with thee

The first element, pursuit, is shown

Through Jesus being born in a cave of stone

He came to the world to retrieve us back

And killed the devil with a final attack

He had to do work, as the second element, like us

And overcome temptation to end all this fuss

He then reconnected us, as the third element

With a love that is most certainly indefinite

The final element, penultimate, tells us it’s not over

But that he’s coming back, moreover

When he comes back, in a rescue called restoration

We will be quite ready for our ornation

As his believers, we are all saved

And will live eternally in his city, with gold paved

The first element, showing his kingdom,

Mentions our living under his wisdom,

Although tis not a physical place,

We will be living in his embrace

The second, Jesus’ inauguration,

Shows normal and abnormal, in a combination

Our bodies will reflect Jesus in every aspect,

As will our brother and sisterly respect

The third element, his kingdom is ongoing

Which the disciples willingly shared, knowing

That the world would oneday be eternally perfect

And all the pieces will forever connect

The final element of all, consummated

Shows our world without a single complication

There will be no more tears, sadness, or anger

And the earth will be free of danger.

There will be jewels, and life, and fun

In the world where there is no more sun

God will be our only light,

And our beautiful city will be such a sight

And we will spread to the ends of the world,

Exclaiming God’s amazing love which has unfurled.

God is amazing, as shown by these twenty words

And we will remember him who will never again go unheard.
