Just a Poem

    My hear longs for you, but reality knows our fates.

A shred of what once was; is now all I have.

Just pieces scattered all over this city.

Memories are what I will keep of you.

Not broken, but empty in what was taken from me.

 

    Never knowing whats right, just blindly turning every corner.

You appear, and disappear; taking a tiny part of my sanity

every time.

I'm just another shadow in the mist, a leaf soaring in the wind.

I am nothing.

A woman just passing by.

We have our morals, only to sin.

Going unnoticed, untouched, and unheard.

 

    Sleeping away every hour seems like the only escape.

Untouched by light.

I thrive in darkness, only knowing I will never see your face again.
