This is the last thing that I want

This is the last thing that I want

A Poem by ShinShan

    • Our words are leaving trails in the air,
      The sparks are flying now,
It’s a fire starting to get out of control,
Your words pack a punch and I don’t know how to answer
I can feel the heat getting too much
I can hear my mind telling me to run
      But I won’t go…

This is the last thing that I want,
And you are the first thing on my mind
I know it doesn’t always seem that way
      But please, please….

      I feel the terror forming
As my mind starts to play out scenarios
I feel my hands are shaking
      I am losing control,
I have a lust for the bottle
      A lust to lose myself
But I don’t want to lose
      All that I’ve got…

This is the last thing that I want,
And you are the first thing on my mind
I know it doesn’t always seem that way
But please, please stay with me.

I don’t want to lose this smile,
I don’t want to forget those eyes
I don’t want to have to lie
And tell everyone that I’m fine
When you are everything that I have
And you are everything that I want
You are breath in my lungs
You are the blood in my veins

This is the last thing that I want,
To lose the first girl that I love.

I'm glad Josh told me about your work.. Very deep,. at first I didn't know if the addiction was the bottle or what. Then comes in the first love, so perfect..x
Not wanting to lose a moment of it..because it makes us feel so alive and is our life force. Nicely done :) x

In love. I give only one piece of advice. Be kind and never say or act negative. Rebirth of love can be block by foolish words or deeds. A strong poem. A lot of emotion and desire in the words. Hard to be strong when the world is falling down around you. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

I was lead here by Josh DD and he was right. This is an excellent piece, you sum everything quite nicely in the last two lines. This makes my heart break easily.

Nice job.

I like the urgency in this.

I can almost feel the words falling out of my own mouth and of course the feelings that come with and from such torment. Choice is never easy, especially when it comes to chosing between love and "need".. Sadly dependency always forces us to decide between the thing that truly makes us happy, and the one that helps us forget when reality crowds arounds us..
Well done!!

Josh sent me here.. and I am glad he did.
