A light in the dark. (I found you)A Poem by ShinShanThis was written a few years ago, it was I think, my first actual poem. Whereas my other writing, I had always viewed as lyrics.I found you In the dead of this night By
the failing moonlight I
caught a whisper that spoke of you In
the dreams of the dead By
the dreamers of death I
captured a smile That
reminded me of you This
place can feel so dark But
there is always a piece of you Here
to keep me company So
the smile never really leaves My
face In
the shadows By
the old crumbling walls Where
even the light won’t dare to go I
found some words that fell from your lips So,
so long ago In
the fires that keep no heat By
the liars chair where the evil sleep I
set free a stolen kiss of yours This
place can feel so dark But
there is always a piece of you Here
to keep me company So
the smile never really leaves My
face Through
the sharpest thorns Guarded
by razor words I
found a secret kept by you At
the edge of the world Where
seas drop like tears fall I
saved a memory That
I forgot of you This
place can feel so dark But
there is always a piece of you Here
to keep me company So
the smile never really leaves My
face At
the end of my wits Before
the final fall I
took all the parts And
put them together like an old jigsaw Sealed
with a kiss that spoke of my last breathe I
looked inside the mix, And
I found you © 2011 ShinShan |
