A little something from the heart and soul.

Because when the soul runs low and the drinks aren't cheap, all you need is a little sleep. 

Sleep for the sadness, sleep for the sick, sleep for the ones you forever miss. 

‘Cause when your love dives low and your heart skips a beat, don’t listen to it, Honey.

If there are any rules in poetry they've been trampled so much now you need a bucket and mop, to find them under all the mud the Dadaists brought in on their shoes! This is a really good piece, I like it. When read aloud it sounds very bluesy. The use of colour, bold and slanted text is a novel touch that shows a lot of understanding--modern poetry is found in text, not as often read in communion, it only makes sense to explore how we can use the text, and the page, to generate new meaning. Keep exploring!
