To whom it may concern

To whom it may concern

A Poem by Shian

Why care for love lost, when the body bleeds,

All mourned is space in veins where blood once flowed,

Not for good of blood bled, or where it leads,

As so for minds love, for love once bestowed.

And fault with love that hath not strength to last,

Realise this should a mind of apt reason,

And foolish is one that dwells in long past,

As heart that bleeds for a year gone season.

For tis not love taken that grows the soul,

But what soul gives that can be given mounts,

Love given while in love brings self to whole,

But memory lavished with love nay counts.

So love to love in present soul's joy sings,

But no such joy in reminiscence brings.
