SilenceA Poem by Sara-Hannah CarverSilence
Darkness weighs in upon me, heavy and unforgiving. Struggling to breathe, I try to focus. The memory of us painfully fresh in my mind. I fight to reach you, to save you. Life a distant memory now, so far away. Hate has no place here, the end has already come and gone. One minute is all I have, I use it as I can. Fleeting moments, and the minute stretches to days. One flash, and the pain returns. Beeps, and various hustle and bustle. The silence is over, the peace is done. Back to the world of the living, and the world of pain. © 2013 Sara-Hannah Carver |
