Heart Shaped Lips

She walked towards me, looking astray; lost in the world. I took her hand and said quietly, "Hi, Angel." The corners of Her mouth turned up and her eyes lit up. "Hi," she said. We walked a ways, and then she started to tell me about her night. She was sleepy but full of energy, like a glorious ball of light. I took her in my arms and held onto her tightly, running my hands on her back and feeling her warm skin on mine. I put my lips on her shoulder and inhaled her scent. She staggered, off balance. I set her straight, saying, "You're falling." Smiling playfully, "For you,"she said. I smiled and looked into her big, beautiful brown eyes. I love her. I leaned in, grazing my nose against hers. Gently, I placed my lips on hers. Her heart shaped lips, they moved against mine; her lips were soft as silk. I pulled back and, my arms around her neck, kissed her nose and her cheek, her forehead, her temple, her nose again and back to her lips. She sat down and I followed her, sitting next to her on the stairs. She talked about yesterday, and her voice, her little excited, innocent voice, was magical music to my ears. I tried to listen to the words but the sound of her voice and the look on her face, her beautiful face, drew me in and I kissed her cheek again, her temple and her forehead. Her lips again. I wouldn't mind kissing her lips all day. She let her head fall back into the crook of my arm and as she talked I smoothed her hair back and stroked her lovely face, soaking in every detail, every beam of light bouncing off her skin, every inch of her was magnificent, glorious, magical, lovely. God, I love her. We stood up and her long, graceful fingers locked into mine, she wandered off. I pulled her back in and kissed her lips once more. I couldn't get enough, she was simply filling the room with her light, her radiant light. I could have held onto her forever. God, I love her.
