I Didn’t Want Hate

I Didn’t Want Hate

A Poem by Sherwette

I didn’t want hate

To take control of me

So I called you out late

To drink a cup of tea

Here we are sipping

But nothing was slipping

It was an awkward night

That didn’t see a light

Your wound was so deep

It made me weep

A few days wouldn’t make it leap

So emotional. Yes time is the best healer. Life is full of wounds, It is definitely courageous to weather the storm than to be blown away.
A good, well written poem, with a good message. I like it. Your first two lines are the powerful lines, to provoke a thought.
