Northern GentlemanA Poem by www
His mother was a fast talker
Her waist was tiny like a sharp dancer Her long locks resembled waterfalls and she had legs longer than a fast runner His dad was a truck driver He had many coins and women who were coin diggers He was big and tall And that's what made him so appealing to them all He grew up knowing what he wanted A chance at life and to love anyone whom he trusted He drew out his plans He worked hard and became such a gentleman Northern gentleman You've seen some things I know you've pulled out chairs For more than just a few women Northen gentleman Tell me some tales Tell me what you've done And what you wish you did They say gentlemen from the North are smart They've got good looks and great hearts They say gentlemen from the North are cool They talk slick but with no attitude Just a smile and a nice to meet you A kiss on the hand And plans for fancy rendez-vous I don't know him I just know his mother was a fast talker With a tiny waist and long legs And his father was a man on the road, Who never, ever had to beg. I don't know him. But the people who did, say My father was a Northern gentleman. © 2013 www |
