Murmur Twins ~RevisedA Poem by Jasmine S. EdwardsBeing lyrical again- to the song "Murmur Twins" from Dance Dance Revolution. Lyrics made no sense so i hope these are better :)Following you, out in the rain we can do anything Just come downtown, a steady hymn Just to live there is like life-no hiding alone in the dark. Not so much, Wanting the freedom over everything, But we are sad ‘cause we don’t know That outside that door we must travel through the dark We’re only young, once, once. You don’t have to believe in it, just call on yourself Let’s dance on notes and keys, Keep all of the things that you know fights the bad feelings-out
there. If you wanted the view of music and fun There’s nothing wrong with these, So follow them to me and we can do our waltz tonight. I dream of the pretty song I don’t know why or how it talks
to me? To find out its meaning in the stars and you’ll be ok, you
are by my side! Following you; treading the rain to anything. Arriving downtown, a steady beat; Just to live here there is like life- no hiding in the dark. There is so much, I feel I can do anything with you on my side. We don’t know, til we open the door and lead us out- from the
dark Leave me alone, mom! Leave us alone. © 2014 Jasmine S. Edwards |
