Dawn Gordon is Not As Nice As She'd Like You to Think

It started out two years ago as a bit of a spat on Twitter surrounding Kirstie Alley and something she said (long forgotten by me, to be honest). A number of people on Twitter descended upon Dawn Gordon (who had been decidedly nasty to Ms. Alley), namely myself and "H0llywoodWh0re". Dawn Gordon was flouncing around Twitter as "Prophetlady" back then - an account that has been suspended. Why was it suspended?

It could have been due to the horrifying and unceasing harassment afterward that was directed toward terminally ill women. Ms. Gordon (also known as Dawn Chessman) took it upon herself to pray publicly for the deaths of these women. She took it upon herself to not only harass one woman but felt it necessary to contact vital resources in an attempt to force this woman back to work. When Dawn felt her work there was complete, she moved on to more pressing matters. Such as praying for my pacemaker battery to die out. It was at this point Dawn Gordon's "Prophetlady" account suddenly became suspended. There is no rhyme or reason for Ms. Gordon's harassment and vile actions. She maintains it was her "Christian" duty.

You would think the story would have ended there. But it didn't. Dawn started touting herself as a web developer (a job I've maintained for over fifteen years). She also fancies herself to be a writer - despite her poor grasp of the English language. Something she likes to pass off on her "French" heritage. Never mind she grew up much the same as other children in Quebec, learning both French and English. It was at this point that I decided to try kindness. I attempted to assist with some web development issues she was having as well as some critiques on her writing. Both were met with exceedingly sour results.

Dawn then decided the best course of action would be to follow me to oDesk (I had been with them for a few years prior to meeting Dawn online - even was treated to an all expenses paid business trip to CA to meet the team) and begin a tirade on how awful they were for not promoting fair trade. The point that was completely lost on Ms. Gordon was that the very people bidding on jobs were the ones responsible for the low rates of pay. She left a few forum comments there before claiming she turned down jobs for low rates (in reality, her writing skills weren't up to par and buyers saw this).

This crazed woman then decided that a man named James who frequented her personal blog could only be *my* boyfriend James. She took it upon herself to hunt down James' email address via MySpace and she contacted him. I suppose to warn him how very evil and atheist I was (he's an atheist and loves how evil I am). Dawn's decision to contact James was a very bad idea. Even after being told how bad of an idea it was, she then decided to contact people I write for. I wrote a piece about Nomee - a great social media program that allows you to follow people rather than social media sites. She was unable to get it to work properly on her computer (she received what is known as a false virus alert) so she thought it would be appropriate to contact the makers of the program to insist my piece be pulled. Fortunately, I was cc'd on all replies and Dawn very quickly backed down.

You would think it would end there. It doesn't. Dawn Gordon has opened and closed several Twitter accounts since the suspension of her first account. Most recently, she can be located as "Mysticalmemes". Prior to the latest Twitter name swap, she had been chatting with a fellow atheist and imagined romantic feelings. These feelings were not reciprocated and this did not sit well with Ms. Gordon.

It was at this point that Dawn decided people on Twitter were pretending to be other people. There is no logic in her line of thinking. She now insists that, despite knowing pretty much all there is to know about me (I'm pretty public), I am now one Susanne Moyle who is married to one Greg Moyle. This couple not only do not live near me, they don't even live in the same state. Her reasoning? They have the same last name as the person who spurned her romantic advances on Twitter and the wife has the same first name as I do. That's it. Nothing more.

The purpose of this rather long post? To let others know what sort of danger Dawn Gordon presents. She presents herself to the world as a Christian when in reality she's a very lonely and quite possibly mentally ill woman. If you show her even a slight bit of interest, she will hound you. She will flood you with messages and will become quite angry if you do not respond. Dawn Gordon will stalk you everywhere you go on the Internet and will interfere in ways most normal people would not. Tread very lightly around Dawn Gordon. Better yet, turn around and run the other way.

Thank you for telling us this. Even though it's quite scary and a bit unnatural for someone to do such things, we also live in a world where anything is possible. A heads up is always appreciated. I'm sorry you've had to deal with such behavior.
