Beneath my great dreaming tree (A Tribute To Dave Matthews, The man who saved my life)A Poem by Sherbs Dreaming Tree Of PoetryI wrote this in tribute to a man at first was my idol, then i met him and he saved my lifeIf I had the strength I would leave you To your own devices Don't ask permission Just sleep
The stars look down Peering into the angels world The world that stole her From her heavenly palace
Now she sleeps on a bed of feathers Not clouds A pillow of silk Not cashmere
She landed Beneath this elm tree The Dreaming Tree This boy once named it
Until that day That day of an ugly rapture of sorrow Bewitched him When the angel was no longer beside him And The Dreaming Tree was gone © 2011 Sherbs Dreaming Tree Of PoetryReviews
