Ode to Jamie

On days of of a cold morn and a dark night
A light in the mist
Was he

 

In times of pain and times of woe
A crusader of joy
Would battle the demons
Of depression

 

Lunging a sword into the heart of darkness
And delivering a crushing blow to the serpentine offering

 

An outstretched hand to save
And a brracade to shield

 

A brother in times of hurt
And a friend in times of need
