Captured by the embrace of love

We are all captured by the embrace of love,

That evil mefistress ,

She skulks in the darkest corners of our mind,

Waiting for it's moment to strike ,

Like a coiled cobra,

 

She will claim us for her very own ,

All has been lost,

Now she comes to destroy our last hopes,

That last shred of dignity,

 

Love would be fine,

So would hate,

If only we could love and hate the right people,

Everything would be ok,

 

Wouldn't it?

Is love really evil mefistress? I love that word mefistress! sounds grand rolling off the tongue. I loved the poem it was a nice use of words and meanings. love and hate will always be fine as long as we humans are breathing but the only thing those two really have to worry about is "Fear!" Now that is a true opposing force!
