A Change.

A Change.

A Poem by Sheridyn
"

This poem is about my "best friend" and I. She had been calling me nasty names behind my back, and turns out she was describing herself.

"

There you go.

You really thought I wouldn't catch you?

All this time, I thought you were a completely different face than you are in reality.

You had me wrapped around your finger; I would be there for you at the drop of a hat.

When did that change?

You had this candy facade you put on; a mask, only others could see through.

I was completely oblivious to the fact.

My name wasn't Sheridyn anymore.

It was, 'backstabber', 'two-faced'.

And there I was, feeling sorry for myself.

But then the tables began to turn...

And then YOU were the one left with a nagging pain in your conscience, telling you: "You should apologize. She was a great friend. Why can't you see that?"

Yet, you ignored it.

And, unfortunately, you still do.

Your mask has been torn off, your facade see-through.

No longer will I be in pain.

No longer will you have power over me.

Because, guess what?

Sheridyn's back.

Very assertive and empowering. You write well in this stream of consciousness style.
