Tangled Hearts Scene 2

Part 4

There was nothing more I could until then so I went with them after I changed into some comfortable clothing like a pair of shorts and tank top and pair of flip-flops. Terry and his brother did likewise, but Loren made them hand her their shirts and covering them both in suntan lotion. She herself put on a yellow halter top and pair of cream colored shorts as well and wore flip flops like the rest of us.

She was the only one done shooting for the day. Terry didn’t say anything about what happened on the set, but he asked me if he could borrow my enema kit. I told the girls to give me and Terry a few minutes. That we needed to take care of some boy problems that didn’t concern the girls. I opened my backpack and dug my way towards the bottom for my enema kit, and Terry and I went to the boy’s bathroom and I locked the door from the inside.

He didn’t need any help in that department, as I handed him the kit and made up the solution. All I said. “It happens quickly, make sure you’re sitting on the toilet or you will make a big ugly mess. I have no desire in cleaning it up.”  He gave me a nod taking the kit and went into one of the stalls kicking his shorts, boxers and flip flops out of the stall just in case he missed the toilet. I stood against the sink as he asked me how it went. I said. “Not a conversation I rather get into, but it didn’t go exactly as planned.”

He said. “Yea… you and me both, I am assuming you heard and saw what happened on the set today?”

I said. “Bits and pieces of it, mostly… but we saw enough to understand what is going on. Stringum and Dad are working on the problem as we speak, but right now this isn’t the place to have that type of conversation. And we defiantly don’t want to discuss what happened with our mission until we can be certain that we are safe from eyes and ears." Terry came out of the stall as the toilet flushed. He gave a sigh of relief, said he really wanted to take a cold shower and wash the stink off.

I said. “I think we can arrange that, but mind if we get off this set please.”

Terry quickly dressed and I unlocked the door finding Mr. Vincent and Stringum guarding the door of the bathroom. He told Terry and me, that he would like us to be back on the set by 3 pm for the final scene today instead of 2 pm. It was barely 12:30 now, which didn’t give us a lot of time. Tony had just barely made it back as Stringum handed him a video stated this need his attention and not too let us out of his sight for any reason. Stringum had me give him my watch and asked Terry for his and his brother Jessie.

He opened his bag and pulled out a wooden cigar box opening the lid, taking a whiff for old time sake. Then had us each pick a watch, explaining that each of them was implanted with a tracking device.

Once they were on he placed a gold chain around each of our necks that held a tiny camera and mic that would relay everything to a portable unite inside Jenny’s supped up van that would be following us where ever we go today. He asked if I had my business credit card. Getting the response I never leave home without it. He patted my cheeks said. “Good boy, just make sure you keep the receipts so we can keep track of it.”

Landon was waiting for us outside, instead of a limo, we were riding in cherry red convertible with the top down. He stated that we might as well enjoy the warm weather while we got it. None of us could argue about that as my adoptive Mom and my mother took the front seat. It seemed I was the only oddball in the bunch as Landon had traded in his clothes for some beachwear shorts and flip flops and wasn’t wearing a shirt. I took mine off as well the moment I got into the back seat. We were riding in style as I noticed Tony pulling out onto the street with Jenny’s van and began trailing us.

My adoptive Mom took out her lists of sizes out of her purse and said to Landon, “We need shoes, pants, and shirts for our very handsome boys. There having a sidewalk sale today where I am sure we can find some great bargains, but I would like nice cold shower before we do any of that and I am sure our boys would like to get all that makeup off and have nice dip in the pool before we paint the town and we can stop any hamburger joint for quick bite to eat. I am starving and if I am starving I know my boys are famished hearing their tummies rumble.”

Landon turns into town and said. “I think we can manage that, Stringum said he didn’t want to see our faces until 3 pm at the latest. He would cancel the rest of today’s shoot, but with Mr. Tate breathing down our neck, and learning what we now know. We can’t afford him and Antonio to get wise to us, or little side trip today didn’t pan out as we wanted, but it wasn’t completely uneventful either."

He pulled over locating the nearest and only motel near the freeway and it was the only one with an outdoor pool. The place was neat and tide, and looked like someone actually cared about the place, its said Casler Motel vacancy on the sign.

We followed Landon inside the clerk’s office and he paid for the room, using Stringum’s business credit card.  He rented us a room, so we could shower too wash the makeup off and get the stink of sweat and Antonio off us, more so Mom and Terry; even though we were spending no more than a few hours here.; the owner still demand full price. Telling us if we didn’t like it we could go elsewhere, knowing he was the only hotel within thirty miles and with an outdoor pool. And close enough to downtown Main Street where they were having a sidewalk sale.

We quickly showered and relaxed bit turning on the AC on full blast as we laid on the bed watching TV while everyone took a turn in the small shower that was no bigger then corner space, with a claw foot tub separate from the shower. Even though it would have been nice to soak in it we just didn’t have the time and we would be soaking in the pool once we were done shopping for the day.

Once everyone was done we left the motel in the same clothes we came in and found a parking spot and we got out of the car as my adoptive Mom was surveying the little towns of Main Street no bigger then Provo. The place was packed with shoppers taking advantage of the hot weather seeing clothes on racks in front of the store. My mother put her arm around my shoulders and smiled at me, said. “If your father could see us now he would be stirring in his own juices.”

I understood exactly what she meant. By the simple fact, none of us boys were way underdressed for his standards, but the sun felt good as tickled my bare skin. He would have a cow if he saw us and the people shopping outdoors wearing little to nothing and everyone would think he was the one out of his mind in this heat to be wearing anything more.

Mom wasted no time, stopping at a store that said the Gap where they sold comfortable jeans, and far better quality than Wal-Mart wranglers. My mother gasped seeing the prices of the jeans which were 50 dollars and up. She had never bought me or my brother jeans that didn’t cost more than 12 bucks including tax. My adoptive Mom pulled out her list and found each of our sizes and pushed us towards the dressing room. The good thing about the outdoor-indoor sale... was that sign no shirt no shoes no services didn’t exist today.

By the time we had come back out of the dressing room barefoot and shirtless, Loren and my adoptive Mom were trying on bikinis as my mother was looking through shorts surprised to find few her size and a cute summer top, but the moment she saw the price of them she put them back. Having Landon tell her she could have anything in the store she wanted; reminding her that her husband isn’t here to stop her.

My mother rushed into the changing room as Landon started to stack jeans, shirts for him and his boys. Stating the sale prices was too hard to beat. He needed Loren and my adoptive Mom help when it came to his wife, or his new daughter, who had been in the hospital for almost two weeks now, recovering from starvation sickness and had caught the early stages of whooping cough, and was close to death when they rescued her.

His wife was spending her days at the hospital at her bedside while her two new older bothers had come with us as extra High School students leaving their younger brother with their mother. And would be in any of the scenes here today, but would be into tomorrow’s scene with the other boys. Mr. Tate had given his word that after today, Mark and I wouldn’t be performing on film again until next week and Stringum and Dad were making sure he kept his word.

My adoptive Mom and Loren came out of the dressing room wearing matching bikinis as they asked us, boys, how they looked. All we could do is nod our heads and drool feeling our friend spring to life inside our jeans. I watched Loren walk over and rubbed Terry and said to Mom. “I think Terry and Nate have the hot’s for us.” They both giggled in agreement as my mother came out wearing a pair of navy blue shorts and yellowish top with short sleeves and little black buttons down the front.

My mother turned around in her socked feet. Asking how she looked and was surprised when we said she looked fantastic. Have her say. “I think it makes me look fat.”

My adoptive Mom said. “I never really noticed, other than the fact you look absolutely perfect in our eyes.”

I hugged my mother and kissed her on her cheek said. “Every guy here thinks you are rock’ en hot Mom.”

My adoptive Mom motioned us boys over so she could see how our jeans fit. She was quite pleased that Terry and his brother didn’t mind her touching them, in our boy area. She was more than satisfied with the length even though they were longer then she liked but a little hem here and there was all that was needed. She found one waist size bigger for when they fill out more and sent them back to the dressing room to change back into their shorts.

While she found some shirts for them, after stacking ten pairs of jeans each for them on the counter, with hers and Loren’s stuff said she and Loren would wear theirs out. Handing the clerk each of the sales tag paid for them, so they wouldn’t be accused of shoplifting, as they wrapped a waist scarf around them.

My mother gasped at all the bags of clothes we bought after only shopping for an hour and a half as Landon stacked it all into the trunk of our car. He was our timekeeper as he made our way up and down the street. Once we had what we needed he drove us back to the hotel off the main freeway that had our waiting outdoor pool that was calling our name as we quickly made run for it and yelled cannonball as we all dived in.

Tony had two of his men walk the perimeter, and stay sharp. He seemed nervous as he watched down the road, as Mom conferred with Landon. Mom asked if there was a problem I overheard him say. “We are being followed, but other than that no, just stay close.” Mom nodded as she put on a smile and grabbed a large beach towel and placed her sun-glass on as she took one of the poolside lounge chairs while my mother went inside to change into her bathing suit.

“We had no sooner gotten into the pool when. Jeff told us we need to get out and get the hell out of doge. Within minutes of us climbing out of the pool, Terry had pulled the van around us Landon and my adopted Mom ran inside to retrieve my mother as he opened the door telling us to get in. Being as the Van was built like Fort Knox as four cars that we could see pulled up to the hotel and started shooting at us with AK 47 assault rifles; as the bullets started to fly everywhere.

Seeing several men dressed in all black wearing white face masks to hide their identities. Tony peeled out of the hotel causing two of the cars to follow us. As he told us to put on bulletproof vest so if a stray bullet made its way inside the van even though it was unlikely we would have some protection.

I looked out the back window not seeing my two mothers, or Landon and grew concern. Tony looked back and cursed as he told us to hang on as he did quick U-turn as he nearly rolled the van as he headed straight towards them to see why Landon and they weren’t behind us. Terry asked me if he was crazy I said. “Yes, but this van got more surprises than a James Bond.” Tony slid a hidden panel that was right in the middle of two front seats. There were all kinds of buttons and switches as they turned from red to green like a checklist stating everything was go.

He pushed a button one of the buttons on the dashboard as we heard several mechanical devices come to life. Tony said. “Time let it rain boys.” He stopped the Van as he said. “Come and gets some.” Then pressed a button as rocket launcher launched two missiles as it jetted towards the first oncoming car; I could almost see the whites of their eyes, as the missile hit the front of the car watching it go boom as the car flew 15 feet into the air in ball of fire as it came down hard watching the tires and the doors fall off.

Loren was holding Jessie in her arms doing her best to calm him said over and. “We are not going to die. Oh God no I come too far to die now.” As we listened to the rain of bullets hitting us, and the glass as it cracked. But it didn’t shatter.

Tony gunned the Van towards the second oncoming car and said. "Take this. You A******s want some this?” He flipped another switch as we heard something move and click into a position that sounds alike military Gatling Gunshot up from the top of the van and fired hundreds of rounds as spent bullet casing fell down the sides of the front window like golden drops of rain.

We watched as the hood of the car in front of us. Blew off the car and the engine explodes as it rolled to the side in a great big blaze of fire. Terry gasped and gave a huge arm pump and we gave each a high five; Terry telling us that was so cool, just like in the movies. Jessie wanted to see too but Loren refused to let Jessie go even when Tony and I told her that this van was a supersize tank.

Every one breathed a sigh of relief as we saw Landon and his red convertible pounding the pavement heading towards us with both my mothers inside, as my adoptive Mom stood up the moment they came to complete stop right next to us and holding a rocket launcher over her shoulder and fired it towards the last remaining car behind her.

She looked awesome wearing bikini bottoms and swat vest as my mother was ducking behind the seat covering her ears as my adopted Mom took aim. Watching the car coming toward us squeal its tires as they tried to swerve from the incoming missile, but was going to fast as it rolled out of control as the missile broadside them; taking out the back of the car instead of with resounding boom.

Tony finished the job as he launched two more missiles from the van as it did a direct hit and flew up off the ground a few feet and exploded into a million pieces when hit the ground again. The last car had stopped down a way’s then turned itself around and head back the other way. I gave arm pump said. “Way to go Mom.” Terry and Loren looked shocked as they looked at us with different eyes. My mother was scared and crying, and then when she saw me she sobbed even more. Knowing I wasn’t hurt. When I could have been easily killed,

Tony said. “Apparently Mr. Tate had decided we weren’t useful anymore.” No one said anything instead we headed for the freeway, and back to the set. Even though we were an hour early, even though we told my adoptive Mom we had lost our appetites my adoptive Mom sent Landon out to bring us all back a pizza.
