Help Me Tonight

Help Me Tonight

A Poem by Shelby Baker

Hello there
your my friend tonight aint cha?
Already taken some shots of you
Feeling my spirits heighten
memory puzzled a little like old age
Nice flame burning in my stomach
but my heart still squeezes
I thought you help with drowning
pain and sorrow
That's what I've heard
Why aint you helping me?
Please help me
I don't want to feel pain anymore
Please help me..
Jack Daniels..
please..help me..

I really liked this piece. how we all seem to think the same thing when troubled. have a shot, to take away the pain, but the next morning, we endure the nights swallowing of alcohol. My head hurts... oh never again,
nice and well written.

I really like this. It really portrays what a lot of people know of but don't follow. That alcohol (spirits especially) is a depressant and you're thoughts can be an awful lot darker when you are drunk than when you were a sober. Well written :)
