What Are They

What Are They

A Poem by Shelby Baker

Hormones: what are they?

They make you feel as if your going to die

Feel at times lonely as hell.

Happy one minute and the other like your somebody that doesn't belong

Makes you want to punch the wall

They make you desire the one you love

They make you hate people you love

They make you feel as if nobody in the world sees you.

Makes you feel like nobody loves you

Makes you unsure of yourself Makes you feel shy

They make you cry either from happiness or pain

hormones are a part of life..

I liked the simple truth of it and for the most part, that's all that really matters.

We sometimes complicate things as we grow away from childhood forgetting that the eyes of a child oftentimes are clearer for the lack of adult disillusionment.

You were obviously very astute at the age of ten. ;)

For a ten year old you were well informed and in tune with what was happening to you. It is a well presented learning piece for people in pubescence...now you have menopause to look forward to hehehe.
A service to society,

Anne.

Yes, good write. Hormones for the rest of your life, I have the same sickness....and a word you can blame everything on, keep on writing, and I'm glad to meet you. God Bless you

This made me smile, because most of us have unbalanced hormones that cause all these problems in life, but that is how God made us, no one said it would be easy. LOL this was cute

Honestly? good job. Your writing and the only way to fail at writing is to not write. I like this topic and i like how you are straightforward and easy to follow. Keep going at it. Maybe add some heir of mystery to the poem by making it not so obvious what your talking about. Just a shot in the dark.
