SoundlessA Poem by Shelly BraenMy secrets, I shall never tell. Look in my eyes, and you may find them...but hush, for they are ours to keep.My heart beats amber With a vase full of novas Partake with me a glass of morning dew Steamed with a root of licorice night,
Follow me.
If I were a creation of beauty Would you gaze? The steal butterflies grace my belly On ice to crack the winter’s whip,
A mosaic heart beat amongst cathedral pillars Brass bells And stained glass saints,
And what whispers do lovers and sinners paint? All for not, above within the below During the moment time ceased If all that is seen be colorless,
What do you hear in silence?
Would you dare portray me Use my blood to write music notes Through pin prick from my eye If only my tears were absinth? © 2011 Shelly BraenReviews
