Translucent

Translucent

A Poem by Shelly Braen

You may not touch my sensuality

Nor hear my singing voice,

You may not taste the fruit

Of my heart,

Yet I am still here,

You may not see the binds that have me

Nor taste the flavor in essence,

You may not smell my fear

Deep within,

Yet I still have breath,

I may not show my audacity

Nor my wounds,

I may not cry out

To you,

Yet I still love.

Here heart, breath within, love you.
