Vignette 3 of 10: Wife

Vignette 3 of 10: Wife

A Story by Jason Grey

She was gaunt and worry sat upon her face, pulling dark bags from under her grey eyes. Swathed in maroon, she is out of place Her once flowing red hair hides beneath a modest hat. Quick paced steps clack across the boards, crimson shoes slicing through the oceans of her dress. Trying to catch her husband, to tell him that she loves him, before he sails away, again.
