Such A Rainy Day

Such A Rainy Day

A Poem by Jason Grey
"

A day it rains, and I have saved nothing for it.

"

It is a rainy day
And I have saved nothing.

For I do not save for
Rainy days.
Instead, I save them.

The puzzling rhythm of rain,
I tuck away.

The mournful groans of thunder
Echo in my bones

A lighting bolt
Carved into my heart
Its signature

I pity those who save
For a rainy day,
Because it leaves no room
To save them.
