A Mind Shredded

A Mind Shredded

A Poem by Jason Grey
"

Rebuilding a thought

"

Shards of Imagination and Fantasy
Litter the floors.
Patches of Reality and Skill plaster decaying walls.
A consciousness untied.

Finally tired of the mess
Gathering scraps
Change may begin

With a needle of Reason
And a thread of Hope
Fragments are wholed
Slivers are pieced.

Jumbled, but together.
Dreams and Certainty woven
Chaotically
Spilling into each other.

Can you see the difference anymore?

Perhaps the difference--that difference which is now unclear--is between what is real, and what is not. I could be completely wrong. It's up to you.

Regardless of the question, I enjoyed this. Nothing makes me smile so much as writing an intangible thing into something else that can be grasped and held as though it were physical. Nicely done.
